Carmine and Hilary, along with Randee Strand and Sonia Trevino had the honor of creating the 2010 Dallas Stars Calendar.  This is the second time Hilary and Carmine have produced it and this year was RED hot.

Using scenic and unique hotels Zaza and the newly renovated Stoneleigh the backdrops were flawless, the guys were outfitted superbly by Armani and the net result was FABU.

Carmine got naughty with Chef Beck, the Executive Chef at the happening Hotel Palomar in Dallas- and the star of Oxygen Network’s The Naughty Kitchen. Too bad she didn’t have time to whip up any lunch, she was off to the Five Factor event at Marc.

Great Huzzah at Hotel ZaZa with the Dallas Stars

Serious energy bouncing around in the Hotel ZaZa yesterday during the second day of shooting for the 2010 Dallas Stars calendar.  With Armani at the helm, each one of the guys looked as if they’d wandered off a runway in Milan- magnificent.  Randee Strand and Sonia Trevino were two of the luckiest women in Dallas as they powdered, shaved, dried and styled these handsome men before they strutted their stuff in the Magnificent Seven Suites- which, have never looked so well appointed.  Make sure to pick up your calendar at www.dallasstars.com, any of the Dr. Pepper Stars’ Centers, or all the merchandising areas of the American Airlines Center by Thanksgiving.  A perfect holiday gift for the hockey enthusiast.  Many thanks to the gracious staff at Hotel ZaZa for taking care of us all day.

Star Struck at The Stoneleigh Hotel In The Big D

What a blast- first of all, thank you to the staff of the Stoneleigh Hotel for their help and hospitality hosting the first day of the Dallas Stars Calendar shoot.  Kate and Billie and the entire crew went over board to accommodate the influx of staff from Armani, Visual Image, About Face Artistry, and the Dallas Stars.  When it comes to dressing men in finery, it is hard to beat Armani and they really brought some fire this year outfitting the guys in Fall runway threads.  Randee Strand, of About Face Artistry was one of the luckiest girls in Dallas as she got to powder while Sonia Trevino coiffed.  High fives to the guys for being on time, patient, professional and MOST handsome.

Mannequins So Gorgeous You’d … Well, You Get the Idea.

Seriously, Carmine had to look twice when he arrived to the shoot.  He’d been told he was shooting some dummies and he didn’t hear any whining and complaining- it was just all wrong.  These mannequins, produced by a company called VerTex, are as life like as the CG used at the beginning of Nip/Tuck- these are not your old school mannequins.  They are, ah, very anatomically correct and wear clothing better than most live models.  For the photographer that means no breaks for potty, no bored, tired or hungry models and efficiency in shooting.  Carmine and stylist, Amanda Swisher Trevino invaded Todd Fiscus’ Apartment space for a truly rock star back drop for this campaign.  Many thanks to the staff there for their help.

What a productive meeting that was. All the professionals brilliant in their own right and dedicated to the process. Thank you Natalie, Jonathan and Kameel from Giorgio Armani for your time and diligence with wardrobe.
